About me

I have worked as a freelance programmer/designer for the last 5+ years, specializing in helping small businesses and non-profits. Over the years I have created and maintained many WordPress sites, customizing themes and plugins, and also Zencart and Magento e-commerce systems. My website programming experience covers: HTML, CSS, javascript (including jquery), php, Ajax, etc. as well as web application programming with Java, JSP, SQL, and Apache Struts. In addition, I am very familiar with many of Adobe’s design tools, in particular Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and InDesign.

Using the latest responsive design practices, I will make sure your site is easy to access and view on all devices, including computer screens, tablets, and smartphones. I also follow current SEO coding techniques, so that Google and other search engines can find and index your site.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Alabama, and a Master’s Degree in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Before switching to website work, I worked for 7+ years as a software engineer programming in Ada, Fortran, C, and C++. That means: I know computer programming – the language doesn’t matter!

If you need website help, please contact me to discuss how I can assist with your project!
